Objective

Act as subject matter experts to explain and ensure participation from local stakeholders in the development of emergency response plans for the proposed Energy East pipeline project.

Services provided

  • Met with elected officials and government officials to address emergency response concerns;
  • Facilitated emergency planning workshops to discuss local concerns and ensure local inputs to emergency response plans (tactical plans);
    • A GIS-based tool was developed to facilitate presentation and incorporation of local concerns.
  • Subject matter expert during regulatory public hearings (National Energy Board, Bureau des Audiences Public en Environnement du Québec [BAPE]).
